This mailbox does not have a lid.  Instead it has an inner bin that pivots out.  The bin is spring loaded to keep it closed until you open it.  The mailbox is made from oak with brass accents and finished in a clear coat of spar varnish to stand up to weather.  It measures approximately 18"w x 15"h x 6"d and is easily mounted to any flat surface.
